One battery or multiple batteries that need a place to live, sheltered from the elements and kept dry and secure. This place is called a "battery enclosure", or what is essentially a vented box made from aluminum or fiberglass or steel. This product is perhaps more commonly called a "solar battery box" but is also referred to as a "pole mount battery box". Some battery boxes are large enough to be considered battery cabinets and are usually made from painted steel.

Outdoor Battery enclosures keep your batteries safe from weather and safe from theft. Battery enclosure boxes also feature locking machanisms that protect unauthorized people against possible electrical dangers if they happen to be tampering with your equipment.

Our battery enclosures can be pole-mounted or ground-mounted and are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.

Heavy batteries demand a solar battery box with extra strength and durability. In order to protect outdoor batteries from weather and damage, AZE manufactures custom NEMA 3R enclosures. Solar batteries require certain conditions to maintain their productivity and also require air flow control provided by louvered vents, not just for cooling the solar battery enclosure, but also for the release of potential gases that the solar battery gives off.

Outdoor Electrical enclosures that hold solar batteries can be designed as a pole mount or free standing installation
